Skyy, what does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is another way to express yourself. In a way it describes just the way that you may be feeling for the day. It introduces you as a person before you can introduce yourself.
Skyy, fashion seems to always change and trends tend to come back in style. How do you feel about the current baggy and oversized trend coming back into the fashion industry?
I love it. I’ve never been the guy that liked skin tight clothing, the baggy/oversize look coming back in style brings me back to my childhood memories of seeing my dad dress. As a kid I always looked up to my dad and what he wore so I took bits and pieces from his style and integrated it with my own. I feel as though the baggy trend is here to stay.
Skyy, what's your process for creating your game day outfits?
It’s all about how I feel. I may wake up for a Thursday night game and I want to throw a suit on to show that we’re strictly business today. We may be going away to Green Bay and it’s snowing and I want to put on a nice designer puffer coat. It’s really just the vibe and mood that I wake up in that dictates what I may wear for gameday.
Skyy, which players do you tend to look up to in the fashion world?
A lot of guys have style and a lot of those same guys come with great pieces week in and week out. I tend to gravitate to players such as Stefon Diggs, Jet Mckinnon, and Deebo Samuel, just to name a few. Those guys come with great fits week in and week out.
Skyy, do you have any tips for those seeking to find their own style in fashion and develop a unique look?
Be you, wear what you are comfortable with and create your own wave. At the end of the day you are the one wearing the clothing.
Nahshon Wright: Feature 001
"The Wright Way"
Nahshon Wright, born and raised in East Palo Alto, California, is more than just a football player for the Dallas Cowboys; he's a man with deep-rooted connections and passions. Above all, he prioritizes his roles as a father, son, and brother, cherishing his family above everything else. Yet, amidst his family responsibilities, Nahshon finds joy and self-expression in the world of fashion. Beyond the gridiron and the gym sessions with his brother, who happens to play for the New Orleans Saints, Nahshon's love for fashion shines through as a distinctive aspect of his identity. He’s been featured on esteemed platforms such as GQ Sports and Blitzfits. If you ask us, Nahshon will have a successful career in fashion, just like he has with football.
Nahshon, what does fashion mean to you?
Fashion means everything, you get a chance to just be you and be free. When I put on clothes it gives me a vibe for the day. If I put on something comfortable, I’m chilling. It kind of sets the tone.
Nahshon, how are football and fashion related?
That’s an easy one! Look good, feel good, play good! (the infamous Deion Sanders quote) Especially on game days when you walk into the stadium and you got that nice fit on, you just feel confident going into that game. And of course, on-field drip is the same thing!
Nahshon, what are your thoughts on the crossover of sports, social media and fashion, especially in today's social media-driven landscape?
I think it’s big, when you have guys in the league, really everywhere, that put on whatever they feel and are comfortable in their skin. People I watch are guys like Stefon Diggs, Trevon Diggs, Jayron Kearse, CeeDee. Guys that when they throw stuff on, and you look you be like damn.
During the interview Nahshon was also wearing Stefon Diggs brand, called Liem Homme.
Nahshon, what do you do to stay in style and on top of fashion?
I don’t know, I mean of course social media. I also draw inspiration from seeing different people in different things. But for me, it’s all about having your own little swag. I can go to a store and if I like something, I grab it. That’s really it for me.
Nahshon, if you had to give one fashion or one styling tip, what would it be?
Be you, whatever you feel like putting on, put it on. Make it the best.
